The athletics and football stadium is an integral part of the Šiška Sports Park, which, in addition to the above, also includes an athletics hall, the Mostovna sports turf pitch, the Trikotnik football fields, the Holmer track, two artificial turf football pitches, tennis courts and an indoor bowling alley.
The outdoor athletic areas, which are intended for athletes’ training on warmer days, comprise an area of 33.843 m2, of which 15.843 m2 are covered with polyurethane paving. This is a highly flexible resin with the ability to bridge scratches on the surface. Due to the needs of athletes to achieve the best possible results and to maintain the surface itself, the systems offer a soft floor and high resistance to impact and abrasion.
The Mostovna sports turf pitch is dedicated to outdoor athletics, i.e., the basic athletics disciplines. It also includes throwing ranges for the shot put, javelin, discus, and hammer, which span over an area of 18.000 m2.
The football stadium has a surface area of 29.043 m2 and 5 football pitches:
– the main football pitch, 6.798 m2,
– a first auxiliary football pitch, 6.936 m2
– a second auxiliary football pitch, 6.000 m2,
– an artificial turf football pitch with dimensions of 108 x 70 m, and
– a small artificial turf football pitch with dimensions of 53 x 33 m.
The football fields are used for football training and competitions, and for football schools.
